Gmail filters

Can anyone help?

I have a gmail filter set to direct mail from staff@loncon to a folder. It is also catching up email to, for example, exhibits-staff@loncon. Is there any way that I can make the staff@loncon be an exact, rather than partial, match, or do I have to add an exception for every bloody division....?

Another idea: filter everything that contains -staff first, then filter on staff for what's left.

So exhibits-staff and dealers-staff will get pre-filtered.

How do I do that? Do I just need to make sure that staff@ is at the bottom of the list of filters?
