This morning, it was lovely and frosty-misty in the valley. I took this a bit later, when the frost had mostly gone and the sun was just appearing over the valley side:

Unfortunately, it's hard to be sure how much is mist and how much is camera.... I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get the Apple Store to replace the back with an official one. Anyone know how much it is? (Mike says $29 in the US but more here.)
That was as we were on the way back from a little run in the woods. Mike only came with me as far as the end of the lane, as he's tired from being up in the night with work. Jodie came around the woods with me, in the end, when it became apparent that she was just going to sit in the road waiting for me if I didn't let her come with me. She was ok, though, and didn't manage to, eg, get her bootie off and rip her stitches open.
Much to her confusion (and sad face), we broke with routine by going off in the car, without her, at the usual after-lunch walkies time. We were only gone for half an hour, though (buying a Christmas tree), and she got walkies just as soon as we got back, took a chainsaw to the bottom of the tree and stuck it in a bucket of water.
Walkies involved chasing two squirrels up trees, and so were terribly exciting:

Sadly, I was just too late to capture the shot a about five seconds before this, when she was jumping up at the tree, or the one about three seconds before, when she fell over backwards on the way back down....
I suspect it's going to be another misty-frosty night, tonight. It was lovely and warm when I was walking the pooch (GB only went out in his waterproof today, not one of his warm coats), but as soon as the sun hit the valley wall and we started bringing the boys back in it got very chilly, and the mist had already started to gather by the time they were tucked up in bed. |
