I did not know that...

1) (and don't believe) the acronym "FWB" in personal ads means "fun with bea." (I forget where I saw it, but it's been faintly irritating me for days. Is it really true, and if so what does it mean? It's certainly not what I would assume it meant.)

2) (and am greatly intrigued by) the idea that one can go to a certain antiques dealer in W1 and see the River Tyburn flowing, with fish, through a decorative channel in the basement. (So says Country Life, which is usually fairly accurate. Plus, there was a photo.)

It's short for "Friends With Bears".

Sadly, bears are large, grumpy, and violent, so most people never get to finish typing "bears" before something terribly unpleasant happens.
