Close encounters....
I just went to check the boys, and give Jo her usual run around the field.
Just as we got back to the gate, she went tearing off into the corner of the field. "Ah, bunny," I thought. Then a white blur came towards me. "Ah, stupid bunny," I thought, until the badger used me as a convenient point to ricochet off and then dart under the gate....
It didn't quite knock me off my feet, but my boots and trousers are now noticeably pungent!
(Fortunately, Jodie listened when I told her not to go under the gate after it! Really don't want her to corner a badger....)

I've never seen a badger close-up. I'm fairly sure I don't want to be in that situation, which is a shame, because they look pretty awesome.

I'm just glad that it was mostly interested in getting out of the field as quickly as possible, rather than sticking around to argue with either of us.
