WTF?

(Just heard on the World Service) Turkey wants to charge a deaf, mute, illiterate man with terrorism, because he was carrying half a lemon. The juice of which can be used to reduce the side effects of tear gas.

Edit: Slightly more detail on a later report: the man, via a sign language interpreter, said that he'd just been inadvertently caught up in a Kurdish rights / freedom demo, and that the lemon was just a coincidence.
