When did that happen...?

Apparently, I've become Old without noticing.

We have tickets to see My Life Story tonight. No, not even that: we have extra special tickets to see MLS tonight, where we get special "free" stuff (wot we paid for with the extra special ticket price) and a post-gig-gig-and-party.

But it's in pigging Shep's Bush. And they aren't on stage until nine. And I really feel that we aren't actually going to end up going. Does anyone want them?

Also, Yellow Warning of snow tomorrow. Is Not On. May have to ring The Girl and tell her to get GB's thick rugs back out in case they're needed. Sigh.

Still, lovely lunch with [personal profile] fjm and E. Mike made the tasty foods. He's good like that.

Edit: and, bah, Mike's gone for a (preparatory, pre-gig, oh god do we have to stay up that late) nap without psychically realising that I was ten pages from the end of my ebook, and the next one in the series isn't on the catalogue, and I can't find his kindle his kindle is by the bed from when he was reading last night, so I can't go and see if he's go it and just not uploaded it... bah. My life? It is hard. Hard, I tell you.

Oh well if not wanting to go to the bloody SBE makes you old, I've been old since I was 25. I sort of got cured of this, though, after reading an article in Crawdaddy! from someone who had travelled halfway across the US to see Patti Smith play -- on the same tour when I'd decided it was too much trouble to go from Walthamstow to Shepherd's Bush.

I went to the Spiers & Boden 10th anniversary party there. After the gig a load of folky mates of ours were hanging round the back, and it transpired that there was an aftershow party for forumites. And I decided not to stay because of work the next day. In retrospect, that seems like a phenomenally bad decision. But there we go.
