Geraniums

I'm going to divide and transplant some white and blue geraniums this afternoon, and I've got more than I actually want to put in the new spots. (Geraniums, not pelagoniums, which I doubt I can spell but can't google to check.)

If anyone wants some, I suspect that they're tough enough to survive a trip in the post, so please say.

(Our internet connection is being unbelievably crap, even by our standards, ever since we had that wet weather last week. Replies may be glacial.)

I've had a busy day in the garden, today.

The bed in the back by the conservatory is now done, with a mixture of yellow flags, orange lilies, agapanthus and some mystery bulbs (we dug them up when we were putting the zen garden in, and went "I don't remember any bulbs here...". Then we put them in what looked like a space in the bed by the patio, where they got completely swamped and didn't do much except grow a few leaves. I'll give them another year in their nice, guaranteed-spacious and undisturbed location and see what happens to them!).

The bed in front of the kitchen window now also has some yellow flags, mixed in with the gladioli. The rest of it's going to stay bare for now: I've got plenty of plants waiting to go in there, but they can stay in the conservatory until they've got a bit more growth on them.

The bed in front of the porch, which was scraggy roses and blue geraniums, is now a mix of white and blue geraniums (which will, of course, grow at identical rates and so create a lovely and self-sustaining mixture. Right?), and I've put some mixed aliums underneath them: hopefully it'll look nice when they all grow through!

The bed along the back patio is now a bit over half cleared out: it was such a nightmare to weed that I had to do something dramatic, because when you've got things like overcrowded flags you can't actually get rid of the buttercups and grass that are growing through them. And the deliberate grasses were really quite dull, so they've gone. And the lavender was very old and woody, so ditto. Hopefully, I'll get the rest of it cleared in the next week or so, so that I can leave it bare for the winter (and pick out any buttercups and lady's mantle that reappear) and then make it into a nice neat herb bed in the spring. With lavender. I like lavender. Although not as a herb.

And now I'm going to sit down and wonder when the internet will start working properly have a rest.
