Thoroughly soaped and waxed

Today, I finally got around to doing some tack cleaning: Bugs' new bridle has been sitting on the bench for several weeks, waiting for me to give it a softening up and put it together, but now it's ready to be fitted to him. GB's bridle also got a clean (and some suspicious looks at the stitching in places: if the brand I've bought for Bugs works out ok, and it seems nice, I'll be getting him a new one. The brand he currently has, sadly, has gone massively down-hill: the difference in the leather between GB's and the one Bugs is currently using is huge), as (with a bit of help from Mike) did the saddle Bugs came with: the saddler thinks she can get a reasonable price for it, so I'll drop it into the shop at some point.
And then I re-waxed my Barbour, because I realised when I got rained on the other week that it *really* needed it.
So presumably, my hands are now both clean and waterproof! |
