We've just got back from seeing another horse, and we both actively liked him! On the negative side, he's called Bugsy, has a lot of white on him, and has blue eyes (which Mike liked but I found slightly creepy). The owner was very keen to tell us that his bucking on the canter transition really isn't all that bad, but we didn't see any sign of it (I suspect it's just with people who really can't ride: the owner's ill, and had a girl riding him for us. I gave up and just got on myself after a few minutes of very laboured trot).
He was a little sluggish, but the owner said it's because they have such a horrible school: it really was horrible, and you could see/feel him struggling with it, so I'm inclined to believe her. Just have to see what the riding instructor says when she sees the video and then (all being well) goes to see the horse. |
