I'm starting to feel guilty about the number of spider-hours of work that get undone every time I walk the pooch.
Duck wormer is sorted: the nice lady from the vet reports that her stock at home is out of date, would I like to go halves on a 60g box, which seems sensible: I'll go and pick it up one day next week, and get some wormer for Jo while I'm at it. In other worm news, poo samples from the boys went off with the vet this afternoon to get checked out, as well. (I'm not sure how much point there is, tbh, as they'll both need a full-spectrum treatment in a couple of months for the stuff that doesn't show up on a poo check. On the other hand, I'm not going to pay for another year of the vet's service, so I might as well get a check in before it expires. I'm going back to the postal service that I used to use, as it's vastly more convenient and they do things like send you an email to remind you when it's due.)
The vet was here because it was time for GB's blood test to see if his medication is still working. He was, as ever, delighted by the prospect: although he only slammed me into the wall once, he managed to do it in such a way that I have some great scabs on my arm from the breeze blocks. Ah well, hopefully that will be it for another six months or even -- if his dose stays the same -- a year. Must remember to warn the farrier when he visits next week, as on past form GB will make a pre-emptive vet-prevention attack on any strange people he sees in the next few weeks.
Dentist. Must book the dentist for the boys. |
