Hope that everyone's having a lovely day!
We've been book-ended by rain: a heavy, and slightly sleety, shower just as we were getting onto the boys this morning, glorious sunshine all day, and then, as we were about a third of the planned walk with the pooch, an enormous crack of thunder that had us heading straight back towards home. Fortunately, we got back, and brought the boys in, before it started: it's now pouring again!
(The boys had wandered out of the stableyard -- field still too wet -- and into the alleyway at the bottom of their field. We were somewhat worried when, rather than charging down the slope as he usually does, the Baby headed sideways and on to the bit behind the barn: there's a flat bit a couple of feet wide and then a nearly vertical slope with the barn at the bottom. He got half way along, thought "I don't like this", tried to turn around but found it wasn't wide enough, and kept going. At the end, he stopped and looked around a bit before having another go at turning around: fortunately, he did manage it, but maybe we need to fence that bit off in future!) |
