A small revelation....

I was thinking, "I'm just going to upload the pictures from my phone today, and then edit the post to put the text in. The iPhone keyboard is too fiddly for writing long stuff," when I realised that if I was doing that then I could also make the initial post to DW, and solve my lack of cross-posting mehness! And resize them (which, I guess, means right-click to see the bigger version)!
(Any DW only people: see LJ for the last few posts, I've been trying to find a simple was of getting pictures up here and, scarily, the LJ app seems to be the best method!)
So, here we go!
We took the boys out for a nice long hack this morning, past the Agricultural Equipment Of Doom (which turned out to be a grass roller. No, I've no idea why it was so frightening, either), which GB was a bit distressed by but -- after backing up a couple of dozen yards and being told not to be silly, he did go on past it. We had thought that the Baby would then just follow him, but he was firmly heading off in the opposite direction. Fortunately, Mike managed to get him turned around and caught up, so we could go for a ride in the woods. It's very pretty up there at the moment. It's also tricky to take non-blurred pictures from the back of a moving horse.

After lunch, we took the dog to Kingswood, which had been recommended to me by a passing dog walker as being really nice and having deer in it. It was also busy, which we probably should have expected on a gloriously sunny Sunday afternoon. We decided to follow the sculpture trail, along which we saw a mushroom foraging guided walk, three small shelters that I suspect were built on a course of some kind, and absolutely no sculptures. Admittedly, we did skip the last bit of the walk, on account of how it absolutely poured down, but even so: bizarre. When the rain cleared, the sun came out again, which was nice: I was rather damp, on account of having not taken my hat with me on such a nice day when there was no rain forecast until the evening....

These are some of the flowers that randomly sprang up in the bit of grass we had re-seeded. They're remarkably cheery, considering it's November!
