So, it turned out that, post-storm, out internet was extremely flaky for about twelve hours and then decided to go away altogether. A BT guy turned up on Tuesday afternoon, worked on the line until it got dark and then came back to do some more on Wednesday. It finally started working again this morning, just in time for the weather to turn and it to get very windy again. We're a little concerned about how often this is going to be a problem.
Catching up, now, but (in brief), Jodie actually managed to catch an already-sick bunny yesterday, which was tremendously exciting and has given her renewed incentive to chase frantically after any others that she manages to track down. The boys are doing well, but I've broken out GB's cold-weather gear.
We now, finally, have a skip for our muck heap to go into. This is great, but moving the accumulated heap from the past two months is proving to be bloody hard work. We're doing a bit a day, and it is getting there. Slowly.
At least the chimney sweep's been, so we can have a fire tonight. It started filling the room with smoke the last time we used it, which was alarming but at least coincided with a warm snap! |
