I've just, through random clicking, discovered an entire strata (stratum, I suspect, but it sounds wrong) of blogs by British yummy-mummy-foodies-with-summer-houses-in-France. It's fascinating. ("I found these darling patterned hot chocolate bowls in the local supermarket here in Breton, only one Euro each! They're five pounds in Joseph Conran! Does anyone want me to bring some back to Richmond for them?")
Unrelatedly, I've been rightmove-hopping and found a lovely house that puzzles me: it's recently refurbished, and has two close-by, fully kitted out kitchens. It's not been reconverted from two properties. I'm vaguely assuming observant-Jewish, but if so then I'm puzzled by the lack of obvious space for two washing machines, and (possibly wrongly) by the spa-pool-and-sauna combo that leads straight off the house and into the garage, which would seem fraught with potential risks. |
