flick | Tough on leylandii...

This year's phase of Death To Leylandii has begun, with the removal of two of the ones along the drive. We did think that they'd be nice and easy, especially as it doesn't matter if the fence gets damaged, until Mike realised that one of them was growing up through the elder, which we'd quite like to keep. He has now removed the top and the bottom of it, but there's still a large lump of the middle that's very firmly embedded between a few elder stems!

I've also done some weeding, and some planting of bulbs, as well as putting the house back into some sort of order. I really need to do more weeding, though....
