Roadworks
Yesterday, there was no sign of anyone working on the road.
Today, though, they turned up at about 9:30, just as the farrier was leaving (just, in fact, as I was moaning to him about them not having turned up yesterday!). They were pleased to see me, mostly because they couldn't figure out if they were in the right place or not, and said that they'd just wait for the man with the can of spray paint to come and show them where the holes were and then they'd get on it it.
About half an hour ago, when I came in from poo picking, they were still waiting for him....
On the other hand, they were making themselves useful: there's a water leak under the stableyard next door (that explains why our water pressure's been so crap for the last couple of days), and when they saw Bad Farmer using a hammer to try to get to it, they drove their digger over and used the road smashing thing on the front of it.
No sign of the electricity people yet, either, although we did get a note through the door warning of power cuts next Monday, as they swap us to a generator and then later onto the new line.
