Bah!

One of the things that we spotted, and popped into the trolley, at Costco yesterday was a Big Box Of Hangers, which seemed handy as we're always a bit short of them.

Today, I asked Mike to get me some hangers to put the laundry on and he said "Sure, where did you put the box?" Um. Box? Um.

We checked the receipt, and no box of hangers: some bugger had nabbed them out of our trolley while we were shopping! Rude much?

Yesterday, we ran into Mrs Farmer (not literally, thankfully, given that we were walking Jo and she was in the car!) and she said that she was running low on clematis and had a busy weekend of car boot sales. We popped up there this afternoon, and now have a couple, with different flowering times, that she thinks will do well on our north-ish facing wall. A bargain at £8 the pair, particularly given that Jodie and Ben started playing chase in the polytunnels and knocking everything over.

(Also pictured: the Kentish salad fields. We had the first few pea shoots today, very tasty!)

Really, someone took the box out of your cart? THat's just odd.

That would happen sometimes, back in the '80s, when I lived near a neighborhood with lots of recent immigrants from behind the Iron Curtain.

(OTOH, once I talked my mom into buying popsicles at the grocery store and put them into someone else's cart by mistake. While bummed at the ensuing lack of popsicles in our house, I always wondered if the other person ever noticed and had surprise popsicles.)
