There are lots of pretty primroses in the woods (and a few around our field) at the moment:
There's also a big patch of wood anemones in one corner of the woods, which (I learn from Country Life) means that the Forestry Commission must never have bothered to do anything there: they spread incredibly slowly, and are usually only found in ancient woodland. Very pretty little flowers, though!
Sadly, I don't have the picture that I really wanted to take today. We were moving the electric fence this morning and have now just got into the edge of the patch of long grass (where it was too steep for the previous owners to use their ride-on mower). It's been a rich mine of abandoned dog toys, and today I found a stuffed bunny. I threw it out for Jodie, but she wasn't much interested. When the boys came outside, though, GB immediately picked it up and carried it off across the field. I was laughing too much to get my phone out in time to take a picture, but it does shed new light on the way that the toys move around the field: we'd always assumed that it was Jodie doing it, but maybe not....
