And....

The Aga went out last night, and neither of us can get the wick to light. And the Aga guy can't come until Wednesday. (We do, fortunately, have an electric cooker as well, and the heating / hot water are separate. I just miss having my bum warmer in the kitchen!)

It's a slightly bodged conversion of a 30s era coal one to gravity-fed oil. Does anyone know if we should be able to smell the oil when we open the compartment to light the wick?

(I'm slightly suspicious because we just had the oil tank filled up, so I wonder if they Did Something To It.)

Edit: Hurrah! Mike found another switch, and pressing it made the oil come through!

Another Edit: But then it went out again. Boo!
