I should have known it was a mistake to think that. I've just been out to check on the boys. I took the pooch in the field for a drink, and she looked at the trough and then at me as if you say "Oh noes! My human has gone crazy!", so I brought her back in, changed my trousers and pointed her at the vastly inferior bucket of house water, instead.

Bleh.

Mike's New Toy says 3mm in the last hour, but I'm not sure how good it is at measuring the kind of rain that moves horizontally rather than just falling from the sky....
