Today, I finally got around to picking some rose hips for syrup:
tbh, it just tastes like sugar water to me, having just tried some neat from a spoon. Will have to see what it tastes like when diluted: the flavour may come out more when there's a bit less sweetness to it.
Pooch has lost weight. I'd feel better able to cope if it weren't for the fact that we can't get her to touch her breakfast until after lunch time, but I gave her more dinner and she scoffed it down. Admittedly, dinner did involve that tastiest of foods, tripe.
In my usual sickening way, Christmas prep is proceeding well. Other than the three gifts whose purchase I've delegated to Mike, it's pretty much all wrapped, and the cards are not only made but signed by both of us. I've gone monochrome this year, but I don't *think* it's too funereal....
This afternoon, Mike tried out the chainsaw. He still appears to have a correct number of limbs.
