All well here

Well, after much frantic putting away of things yesterday afternoon we actually seemed to get away better than I feared with the weather last night and this morning. We had hoped for dramatic photos of downed trees from our walk in the woods, but there was nothing worse than a few branches on one of the paths.

The boys are delighted, as we took the electric fence down and haven't yet put it back up, so they're resolutely in the other part of the field where the grass is tastier.

This morning, I gave GB a hair cut. Doesn't he look smart?

Well, ok, maybe 'silly' is a better word.... I'll give him a few day like that and see how he gets on but, given how sweaty he's been getting, I think he might need more off his neck.

We also had a little go with Jonny. He was much better than he has been, and I even managed to do a little patch on his belly before he started flailing around with his legs. I wouldn't have minded, but one of the flails connected with my thigh. Fortunately for the bank balance, my iPhone screen was against my leg, so it's only the back glass that needs replacing.... At this rate, he'll be clipped by spring.

A few minutes ago, our power and phones died. They came back after ten minutes, though, so hopefully we'll be ok!

The images are a little bit too wide when viewed on a iPhone (which is mostly how I read lj...)

Hmm. More or less annoying than having to follow the Twitter link to the tiny picture?

(I have, for example, a vague idea that I can auto-post from Flickr to LJ, and I know that my phone will auto-upload to Flickr. If it's sufficiently annoying, I'll try it out.)

(I hadn't even thought that people might be avoiding commenting about image size there because of The Picture. Sorry!)

I'm impressed that GB kept still for it. Had also been wondering if you would be sheltered or exposed to the wind. We were also lucky.

GB is remarkably good about being clipped, but then he has had it done a billionty times before. He's so good that he knows when you're getting to the tricky bits, which need a second person to hold his leg up in the air to stretch the saggy bits of skin: when you go close to them, he lifts his foot up, bless him.

See, he may be an evil hell beast but he knows his job, unlike some supposedly lovely and well-behaved horse I could mention.... (I have the imprint of an iPhone on my leg. Did I mention that? I feel like one of those WW2 guys who was saved by a bible in his jacket pocket!)

Well, the images are wide enough to make all the text on my friends page slightly smaller, which is somewhat annoying.

I'm not one of the people finding the twitter cross posting annoying. (I'd probably mostly not follow the links to the images, but that might be more annoying for someone more interested in the pictures. ;-)
