Conversation in Bluewater

[walking past one of those little free-standing shop-booth-things]
- Excuse me, Madam?
- [looks at racks of hair equipment, knows exactly why he stopped me, smiles, shakes head]
- Please? It'll just take a momement?
- Is it to do with hair care?
- No, it's not!
- Go on, then....
- Do you straighten or curl your hair?
- You know when I asked if it was about hair care...?
- This doesn't burn your hair!
- [walks off]

I may have just noticed it because I'd gone straight from the yard, but there were a lot of women in jodhpurs walking around Bluewater today. Most of them looked less grubby than I did, mind.

Reminds me of a chap who knocked on our front door many years ago. When asked "What are you trying to sell me?" replied "Nothing, I'm in marketing." Needless to say the door was closed in his face.
