A wedding!
Last weekend, we went to a wedding. It was a very fine wedding. Here are some of the things that made it so very fine:
- Doug and Julia are both fab people, and it was their wedding.
- Being the second best man, I didn't have to make a speech. As an added bonus, I got to spend the weekend winding up the first best man about the fact that he did.
- I had a suit, and it had *pockets*. The pockets generated hours of entertainment for me, because every time I'd finished telling people about this pocket that I'd just discovered, I'd find a new one to tell people about. Men's suits rock.
- Because I had a suit, I didn't have to worry about things like make-up, stockings or heels. This was also pretty fab.
- It didn't actually rain, and no one actually got frostbite during the photos.
- The hotel staff were very good at looking after everything.
- The cake had working cannons.
- Doug is very happy, now.
