I've not done a class in it (nor done ay foundation paper piecing at all), so I may be missing some of the subtleties of the technique, but it doesn't seem at all complicated to me.
Place big enough scrap, sew line drwawn/printed on paper, fold back, press, trim, place next scrap, sew.... repeat until design/block/section is done, tear away paper along stitch lines... done - Right?
