Mike's just come in from mowing the lawn to let me know that it's snowing.

That's exciting. We're not that far from you but it's definitely not cold enough for that here.

It got much colder quite briefly when a cloud came over and it started to spot with rain and then sleet. Never got heavy enough for me to have to stop mowing. And by the time I had finished, it was sunny again and much warmer (although not exactly warm).

I got home last night to damp pavements and met a neighbouor who asked if I got cuaght in the sleet and hail earlier....?!!! In Hendon it havd been dry and sunny (if decidly chilly) all day.
