Spot the difference

When we re-potted the 500 bedding plants, just after Easter, we changed compost brand part way through. It shows:



Bizarrely, though, the tomatoes in the hanging baskets are in the same compost as the weedy bedding plants, and they're doing much better than the ones still in pots!

(The various things still in pots, on the other hand, are doing better than the ones that we planted out under polythene: given what a faff it is having to water them and cover them over when we're expecting a frost, I think we'll just leave everything in the conservatory until later next year.)
