Almost entirely based on a pattern in this magazine (except I did blanket stitch not cross stitch, as I prefer it, and -- dur -- didn't use glass beads for the eyes as they're being given to a one-year-old! Slightly surprised that the pattern made no mention of that as a thing to consider, in fact.) here are Baby Next Door's first birthday presents:



Also, things I did not expect to see today: a convoy of ten vintage Land Rovers, with Belgian plates, driving down our valley while we were riding this morning. Most odd!
