Jodie

Back from the vet, and Jo is feeling ever so much happier after a metacam jab.

The vet had a look at the lump (skin tag, nothing to worry about) and then gave her a thorough check: slightly raised temperature, but nothing else that he could find, so he took some blood to check that. We've never had her blood tested before, so it was nice to learn that there were no problems with her liver, kidneys and so on. She did have low white cell and platelet counts, though, so he concluded that it was the early stages of a nasty infection that we'd caught in good time: she's on antibiotics, and no then short walks for a week. If she starts looking achy again, I can give her more metacam (and, given the huge improvement from the jab, I may well do so). I also bought her a pack of super gooshy Royal Canin, which she wolfed down. She even ate a few of the biscuits that I put in with it!

While we were out, Next Door called to ask how she was: their spaniel's started throwing up....

Metacam rocks. I know a couple of cats whose lives have been made much, much happier by the stuff (in very tiny amounts, because cats).
